Jaime Ramirez Torres, 74, of Zacatecas, Mexico, passed away on Monday January 21st, 2019 in the City of Los Angeles, California. He was born on Tuesday, March 21st, 1944 in Cañitas de Felipe Pescador, Zacatecas, son of Francisca Torres and Jesus Ramirez. He Lived in Zacatecas, Mexico, Los Angeles, CA. and lately in Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico.

He worked in Ferrocarriles Nacionales de Mexico (railroad industry) in Torreón, Coahuila for 27 years. He enjoyed reading about U.S and Latin American history, and politics. He was an active union member who fought for his and his co-workers rights. His hobbies were to travel through Mexico’s cities and towns while young and to be a Master of Ceremonies later. His dream was to be a radio host.

He is survived by his devoted wife and companion of 44 years, Manuela Vital; his son Jaime Adolfo Ramirez and daughter Marisol Ramirez. One sister, Maria Felix Ramirez and three grandchildren, Maximiliano, Valentina, and Victoria Ramirez.

Jaime Ramirez Torres, 74, de Zacatecas, Mexico, falleció el Lunes 21 de Enero del 2019 en la Ciudad de Los Angeles, California. Nació el martes 21 de Marzo de 1944 en Cañitas de Felipe Pescador, Zacatecas, hijo de Francisca Torres Carillo y Jesus Ramirez Chavez. En vida radico en Zacatecas, Mexico - Los Angeles, California y ultimamente en Torreon Coahuila, Mexico.

Trabajó en Ferrocarriles Nacionales de México en Torreon, Coahuila por 27 años. Disfrutaba leer acerca de la historia y política de Estados Unidos y Latino America. Era un miembro activo de su sindicato y luchaba por sus derechos y los de sus compañeros. Sus pasatiempos favoritos eran viajar por ciudades y pueblos de Mexico cuando era joven y después ser maestro de ceremonias. Su sueño era ser un locutor de radio.

Le sobreviven su amada esposa y compañera de 44 años, Manuela Vital; su hijo Jaime Adolfo Ramirez y su hija Marisol Ramirez. Su hermana, Maria Felix Ramirez y sus tres nietos Maximiliano, Valentina y Victoria Ramirez.
