Merritt Magoon

Merritt E. Magoon was born August 9, 1930 and died June 23, 2019, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Los Angeles, CA. He was almost 89-years-old. He was well loved by everyone who knew him at The Lighthouse Assisted Living Center at 10406 Magnolia Blvd., Toluca Lake, CA, 91601, where he resided for the past nine years. Merritt was the only child born to Merritt, Sr., and Barbara Magoon, in NYC. Both his parents died when he was young, and he was raised by his maternal grandmother, later moving from NYC to Los Angeles. Merritt was a creative, kind-hearted man, who never married. He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church where, in honor of his last wishes, his body will be interred in the chapel. A Memorial Service will be held sometime in early August to celebrate his memory and the promises of our Savior.
