In Loving Memory of Julien James Thibodeaux (JJ)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Julien James Thibodeaux, known affectionately as JJ, at the age of 80. Julien departed from this world on Monday, July 17, 2023, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a legacy of love.
Born in Manchester, Louisiana, to his parents Peter and Blanche Thibodeaux, Julien was one of seven siblings, growing up in a home filled with love and camaraderie. After serving honorably during the Vietnam War, he moved to California, where he became a dedicated and long-time employee of AT&T.
In 1968, Julien found his soulmate in Sylvia Villery, and they were united in marriage. Together, they created a beautiful family and were blessed with a loving son named Jules Jason and a precious granddaughter named Nevaeh.
Julian's life was a testament to dedication and devotion, both in his professional endeavors and his family life. He was a pillar of strength and support for those he loved, and his warm-hearted nature endeared him to countless family members and friends.
Julien was preceded in death by his parents, Peter Thibodeaux Sr. and Blanche Biagas Thibodeaux, and three of his brothers, Peter Jr., Donald, and Alvin Thibodeaux. While we mourn his loss, we take solace in the knowledge that he is now reunited with his loved ones who have gone before him.
He leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory: his beloved wife Sylvia, his devoted son Jules Jason, and his adored granddaughter Nevaeh. Also mourning his loss are his sister Betty Nash, and two brothers, Fred and Andrew Thibodeaux, along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends, all of whom were touched by his warmth and kindness.
A man of integrity, love, and compassion, Julien’s presence enriched the lives of everyone who knew him. As we gather to bid him farewell, let us remember the joy he brought into our lives and the legacy of love he leaves behind.
Services will be held in his honor at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church on Friday August 11, 2023 at 10:00AM - 2:00 PM.
Though Julien may no longer be with us in body, his spirit will forever live on in our hearts. May he rest in eternal peace.
